3.2 Business Case

Faith:  I believe that if your company decides to invest in our information system, you will see a major increase in your company's customer sales, the company's website will operate smoother, and your company will gain a competitive advantage over the competition.

Fear:  If you decide not to incorporate our system, your competitors will.  Many of them all ready have.  Your company will continuously see drops in sales and eventually go out of business.

Fact:  Companies who choose incorporate our system will see that within the next 3 years they usually see an increase in total benefit of $7000+.

2.1 Flickr Case Study

The 3 enablers I chose for the Flickr case study are Uploading, Informing/In-sourcing, and Steroids.

                The uploading aspect of the website is pretty basic.  Flickr.com enables users to upload pictures to the site, free of charge, at their own will.  The site also uses a feature called “Tags” which lets the user and the site categorize uploaded photos.

               
                I used Informing and In-sourcing because Flickr.com is in conjunction with Yahoo.com, one of the most powerful search engines in the world.  Both site share Ad space on the other site incorporating the In-sourcing enabler.

             
               I chose the Steroid enabler simply because the site users to upload an unlimited amount of pictures to the site at no cost.  The site provides as much space as the user needs.
